Abstract:

The research about remineralization of enamel is mainly performed by investigatin remineralization properties of various materials on the in vitro model of early caries. As one of remineralization materials, fluoride has been widely used in clinic, as well as the an important reference standard for remineralization. Materials such as hydroxyapatite, calcium phosphate and sodium bicarbonate are proven to possess similar remineralization property in line with the remineralization effect of fluoride ion. Casein phosphopetides amorphous calcium phosphate (CPPACP) has also been proven as a new type of remineralization matetial. This review covers the recent progress in the mechanism and chareacteristics of various remineralizaton materials in caries research.

Key words: Remineralization, Artificial caries, Fluorid, Casein phosphopetides amorphous calcium phosphate
