Abstract:
The undergraduate teaching model of stomatology in China is established and gradually developed based on the model of the former Soviet Union. The characteristics of the branch disciplines of stomatology cannot be fully considered because of the unified education model and insufficient teaching hours of stomatology courses. It is also not conducive to the stomatology professional cultivation. The professional characteristics of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, taken as an example, has been discussed, so as to analyze the status quo and problems of stomatology education in China, and finally for the purpose of exploring the teaching model of stomatology for undergraduate and its reform, making it adapt to the development of national conditions and the transformation of the medical model, ultimately to cultivate high-quality stomatology talents.
