Abstract:
As an important part of Chinese medical education, the education of international-student majoring in stomatology is the only way for the internationalization of stomatology education in our country. Development of international-student education will enhance the international status of China and the popularity of Chinese universities, which can create a multicultural environment and make a great contribution to the political, economic and cultural development in China. Although the number of international students majoring in stomatology in China is increasing now, the education of stomatology-student still needs further development. At the same time, the sources of foreign students majoring in stomatology in China are limited. Furthermore, the quality of international-student education in China needs further improved. There is a significant gap still existed, comparing with those of the developed countries such as Europe and United States. How to continuously improve the education of the international-student majoring in stomatology in China is a problem that needs to be solved urgently. In this article, we take the international-student education in the School of Stomatology of Wuhan University as an example, and some of the problems existing in recent years were also summarized. In order to promote the sustainable development of education of the international-student majoring in stomatology in China, the strategy which is targeting in the improvement of the education of the international-student majoring in stomatology was proposed and analyzed on the basis of analyzing and learning from the education of international-student majoring in stomatology.
