Abstract:

Medical advances in dental care are direct results of the education system that provides academic training in dentistry. Dental education curriculum should be tailored to the strategic interests of a nation in addition to their public health needs. China, Japan, and the US, the three largest economies in the world, vary greatly in dental education systems. With a focus on the different approaches to prepare dental students in academic careers, we reviewed and compared the dental education systems in China, Japan and the US.
