Semi-quantitative detection of TNF mRNA in ameloblastoma by RT-PCR

Abstract:

Objectives

To detect the expression of TNF in ameloblastoma and explore its correlation with ameloblastoma.

Methods

The total RNAs were isolated from tissues of 10 ameloblastoma and 10 paired normal odontogenic cysts respectively.mRNA was purified by oligotex.Both mRNAs from two kinds of tissues were reversely transcribed to cDNAs.mRNA expression of TNF were evaluated by real time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR)and quantified according to an internal control GAPDH.

Results

The relative quantitative expression of TNF mRNA were 1.709±0.655 and 0.873±0.039 respectively.The over expression of TNF was measured in 9 cases of ameloblastoma.

Conclusion

TNF maybe genes closely related to ameloblastoma.
