Abstract:
Objective
To observe the germicidal effect of ozonated water on Actinobacillus actinomycetemcomitans （Aa）.
Methods
Quantitative germicidal test were used.The ozonated water at concertration of 4， 8 and 15 mg/L was used to inactivate Aa in the suspension for 1， 2 and 3 min.
Results
The average killing rates of Aa in suspension exposed to the ozonated water at concertration of 8 mg/L and 12 mg/L for 1 min were 57.04% and 98.39% respectively.When the sterilization time was extended to 3 min， the killing rate between 97.17% and 99.19% could be achieved.
Conclusion
At room temperature of 25℃， 15 mg/L ozonated water at 15℃to 18℃produce efficient and rapid inactivation of Aa in suspension.
