The effect of radiotherapy on survival of oral implants in head and neck cancer patients

Abstract:

Based upon the literature including animal studies and clinical reports worldwide, six aspects were discussed in this article, including the survival of dental implants in the irradiated jaws of patients with oral cancer, and the effects of radiation dose, surgery time, implant site, bone augmentation and the treatment with hyperbaric oxygen on the survival rate of dental implants.
