Abstract:
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of the application of micro ultrasonic technology in the treatment of dental resection, and provide the basis for its clinical application.
Methods Thirty patients were randomly divided into the control and experimental group, with 15 teeth of each. One side of each tooth was basically intact, and the other side was severe lesion. The control group was treated with the traditional dental semi cut operation, and the experimental group was treated with the micro ultrasonic technique. The success rate and the incidence of marginal gingivitis were both evaluated after 1 and 3 years.
Results No significant difference of the success rate was seen in the two groups (P1= 1, P3= 1) . The incidence of marginal gingivitis of experimental group was lower than the control group after 3 years (P= 0.035) .
Conclusion Microscope and ultrasonic technique for tooth hemisection surgery can effectively save the tooth with an intact half side. It can also effectively reduce the incidence of postoperative marginal gingivitis.
