Abstract:

Objective

To evaluate the diagnostic value of the motion imaging by 640-slice dynamic volume CT for temporomandibular joint disease.

Methods

Eleven patients with temporomandibular joint disease were scaned with dynamic imaging on bilateral joint by Toshiba Aquilion One dynamic volume 640-slice CT Joint-Move & Shot sequence. 640-slice CT workstation was applied for graphic processing and data measurement, including 4D dynamic display, volume and MPR image reconstruction, etc.

Results

Eleven patients' 4D dynamic images were established from multi angles and in different planes.

Conclusion

The dynamic imaging of 640-slice dynamic volume CT can clearly and intuitively show abnormal movement of the jaws. Its application in the diagnosis of temporomandibular joint disease is important and significant.

Key words: 640-slice dynamic volume CT, Motion imaging, Temporomandibular disease
