Abstract:

Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is an emerging imaging technology in the recent years. It is widely used in dental practice due to its rapid scan speed, high spatial resolution, low radiation dose, non-distorted image and moderate price. Along with the development of the technology, the advantages of CBCT in observation of periapical lesions, root canal therapy, root canal perforation, root absorption and root fractures are gradually displayed. The aim of the present work is to review the advances of CBCT in the management of endodontic issues.

Key words: Cone-beam computed tomography, Endodontics, Radiation dose
