Abstract:
Objective
To discuss the clinical application and accuracy of a new type metal pierced surgical template based on 3D printing technology.
Methods
With the assistant of the new metal pierced surgical template technology we implanted a total of 52 implants on the chosen 23 patients who have missing teeth and evaluated the accuracy as well as the implants′ survival rate for 1 year.
Results
In the cases mentioned above, 48 implants remain in the predetermined positions (error at entry point≤1.5 mm), while the rest 4 implants′ errors at entry point preponderate were over 1.5 mm.All the implants′ offset were within the range of 2 mm, the aveage of the error at the entry point was(1.08±0.24) mm. All implants were successful. And the survival rate was 100% in 1 year.
Conclusion
The new type metal pierced surgical template has advantages such as: easy to use, well cooling and a good surgical vision and the high accuracy
