Observation of clinical treatment for palatal fractures

Abstract:

Objective

To discuss the clinical classification and treatment of palatal fractures.

Methods

Based on the review and analysis of 94 cases of palatal fractures, palatal fractures were classified into three types according to clinical manifestation and relevant literatures. And the treatment of each type of palatal fractures was discussed. Among the cases observed, 41 cases received conservative treatment, and 53 cases received surgical operation and rigid internal fixation.

Results

All of the incisions were primarily healed. The occlusion was normal, without complications such as implant reveal and stillicidium narium.

Conclusion

Different types of palatal fractures could be replaced in different ways, reliably restoring the facial shape and occlusion of the patients.
