Abstract:
Objective
To discuss and summarize the clinical application of the Benex extractor in minimally invasive tooth extraction, including the technique, nursing care, cleaning, disinfection,and its maintenance.
Methods
Altogether 64 patients with 93 diseased teeth received the tooth extraction with the Benex extractor were retrospectively summarized. The nursing cooperation during the operation, and the processes of cleaning, disinfection, and maintenance of the extractor were also reviewed.
Results
Satisfactory results were observed with small trauma, quick healing and almost no pain after tooth extraction by use of the Benex extractor. Aseptic processing, skilled nursing care,prompt and accurate equipments delivery, and efficient psychological nursing are necessarily required during the operation.
Conclusions
Skilled nursing cooperation is helpful in minimally invasive tooth extraction with the Benex extractor. It leads to better wound healing, avoids cross-infection, and extends the service life of the extractor.
