Advancement of the study on NLRP3 in stomatology

Abstract

Abstract:

The NLRP3 receptor is an important member of the NLR family which belongs to the cytosolic pattern recognition receptor and plays a distinct role in the innate immune system. The NLRP3 can form a multiprotein complex-the inflammasome to activate inflammatory pathway or induce cell death. The NLRP3 inflamsome functions in organism immune response and relates to many kinds of disease. The aim of this article was not only to review the structure and function of NLRP3， but the effect of NLRP3 in oral disease.
