Abstract:
Objective
To explore the restorative procedures of dentition serious attrition caused by fibrous dysplasia.
Methods
A patient with serious dentition attrition caused by fibrous dysplasia of jaw received oral system examination and prosthetic design.Transitional occlusal pad was used for four weeks.Crown lengthening surgery was performed for anterior teeth and first premolor of the maxillary after the preparation of restoration.Four weeks later, subtle fixed partial dentures were made after abutment teeth preparation, according to which reference models were designed.The perpetual prostheses of Co-Cr alloy were all divided into two parts.
Results
The patient had good appearance, comfort and mastication, and she was satisfied with the effect.
Conclusion
For patients of fibrous dysplasia, maxillary and mandibular dentition can be well restored by fixed dentures if proper indications are selected.
