Abstract:

Objective

To detect the mRNA and protein level of CXCR4 in human tongue carcinoma and metastatic cervical lymph nodes.

Methods

The mRNA of CXCR4 in the human tongue carcinoma and metastatic cervical lymph node from 41 paient was tested by semiquantitative RT-PCR. Strept Avidin-Biotin-Complex Method(SABC Method) was employed to delect the localization, intensity and distribution of CXCR4 protein.

Results

Immunohistochemistry staining and RT-PCR demonstrated that CXCR4 was expressed in tongue carcinoma and metastatic cervical lymph nodes, and was not or just weakly expressed in normal tounge tissue and lymph nodes.

Conclusions

The mRNA and protein of CXCR4 tongue carcinoma and metastatic cervical lymph node. The expressions of CXCR4 is correlated with the prognosis and cervical lymph node metastasis of tongue carcinoma.

Key words: CXC chemokine receptor 4, Tongue carcinoma, Metastasis
