Abstract:
Objective
To study the expression of Ezrin and inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) in mucoepidermoid carcinoma (MEC) and the relationship between the positive rate of Ezrin, iNOS and MEC metastasis.
Methods
The expression of Ezrin, iNOS was detected by immunohistochemistry in 36 well-differentiated MEC cases, 24 poorly-differentiated MEC casese and 60 normal tissues.
Results
The expression of Ezrin and iNOS in normal tissues, welldifferentiated MEC tissues and poorly-differentiated MEC tissues were gradually increased (P <0.05). There was significant positive correlation between Expression of Ezrin and iNOS(P <0.01).Besides, positive correlation was also found between the expression of Ezrin and MEC metastasis(P <0.05) and between iNOS and MEC metastasis (P <0.05).
Conclusions
There is relationship between Ezrin and iNOS, and they were all related to MEC metastasis.
