目的

初步探讨家庭功能与广州市5岁儿童口腔健康行为的关系。

方法

于2011年8—12月采用横断面研究的方法调查广州市1332名5岁儿童及其照顾者。问卷收集社会经济学因素、家庭功能、照顾者及儿童的口腔健康行为等信息。采用t检验和多因素logistic回归分析的方法分析家庭功能与儿童口腔健康行为的关系。

结果

家庭功能与儿童的刷牙频率有关（t = -2.275，P = 0.023），与儿童的吃甜食频率、看牙医行为及看牙医模式无关（P>0.05）。多因素logistic回归分析结果显示，家庭功能与儿童的刷牙频率不相关（P>0.05）。儿童的刷牙频率主要与儿童的性别、母亲和父亲的受教育程度、照顾者的刷牙频率及口腔健康知识有关（P<0.05）。

结论

家庭功能不影响广州市5岁儿童的口腔健康行为。

Objective

To explore the association between family function and the children′s oral health-related behaviors and caries status.

Methods

A cross-sectional study was conducted in a sample of 1332 children aged 5 years and their caregivers from 2011 August to December in Guangzhou. Data of the socio-demographic factors, family function, the caregivers′ and the children′s oral health-related behaviors, were collected through questionnaires which were completed by the caregivers. T test and multiple logistic regression were used to analyze the relationship between family function and the children′s oral health-related behaviors and caries.

Results

The results of t test showed that family function was significantly related to the children′s tooth brushing frequency (t = -2.275, P = 0.023) , but not significantly related to the children′s frequency of sweet snack intake, utilization of dental service, and pattern of dental visits (P>0.05) . In the multiple logistic regression model, the children′s tooth brushing frequency was not significantly associated with family function, but significantly associated with the children′s gender, mother′s and father′s education, caregiver′s tooth brushing frequency and oral health knowledge.

Conclusion

Family function has no impact on the oral health-related behaviors of the 5-year-old children in Guangzhou.
